Tea Biscuits recipe – 191 calories
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2/3 cup butter (make sure it’s really cold)
2/3 cup milk
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
1. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
2. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender.
3. Add the milk and mix well to form dough.
4. On a floured surface, knead just a few times until smooth. (DO NOT overwork – handle as little as possible!)
5. Roll the biscuits to the desired thickness and cut with a floured cutter or bottom of drinking glass.
8. Bake the biscuits at 375 degrees F for about 10-13 minutes.
