Riz Creole recipe – 194 calories
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups long grain rice
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice, fresh
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
6 cups water
salt (to taste)
freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Preparation:
1. In a heavy saucepan, bring the water to a boil; add the rice and salt.
2. When the water returns to a boil, allow it to boil vigorously for 17 minutes.
3. Drain in a colander; run under very hot water and drain again.
4. Add the butter, salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with the lemon juice and toss until the grains are coated.
