Cheddar Biscuits recipe – 135 calories
Ingredients:
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 (250g) package cream cheese
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons dried parsley or dried basil or dried rosemary
Preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
2. Mix the flour and baking powder.
3. Cut in the cream cheese to form a crumbly mixture.
4. Stir in the milk, until the dough holds together.
5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface, and pat or roll in 1/2 inch thick circle.
6. Cut biscuits out with a 2 inch cutter, and place them on a cookie sheet.
7. Brush each biscuit lightly with the beaten egg.
8. Bake for about 12-15 minutes (or until lightly browned).
