How many calories are in a banana? Well, that depends on the size.
A small banana contains about 60-80 calories.
A medium banana contains about 90-100 calories.
A large banana contains about 115-120 calories.
Many dieters avoid bananas, as they are loaded with carbs and contain more calories than most other fruits. However, bananas are recommended because they are really filling and will satisfy your sweet tooth. They are also an excellent source of potassium (a mineral essential for good nutrition and health).

You made some good points here. But it also important for people to realize than fresh and raw bananas are always better than cooked or dried bananas.
If you are watching you weight, stay away from banana chips!

this information like calories and carbs don’t match some other websites I have just looked at. How can 1 site say that a large banana is 120 calories and another place says that it is 172? This says that carbs are 22.84 and another place says there are 40 carbs. I suppose these are more or less just estimates but still 50 some odd calories off is quite a bit once you look at a month of eating bananas. Other than that, nice website, thank you!
